The Detroit Cal 25 Club Annual Class Meeting will be held at Bayview Yacht Club on Wednesday, May 19th. New sails will be measured starting at 6:00 PM. The class meeting will begin at 7:30 PM. We will be setting the 2004 racing schedule and discuss the class rules. Please try to be there. Your participation is what makes the Cal 25 class the best one design fleet in Detroit.

Wanted: The Black Dog's mast was stolen from the triangle at Bayview this past year. We are trying to locate a mast for the boat. If anyone knows of an available mast please contact Todd Jones.

There will be a sail measuring / meeting on Tuesday May 8th at Bayview. The agenda is as follows: 6:30 PM Cocktails at the BYC bar. 7:00 PM Measure sails 7:30 PM Discuss and vote on: 1) Loose footed mains 2) Lower batten length 3) Define Short course races / long course races & qualification, through-outs etc. 8:15 PM Return to BYC bar Please contact Brian Shenstone for more information.

I created a new results page to allow the commodore (or secretary) to post results. The page is divided into two categories to separate race results from Port Huron and Detroit. The old content still exists, but you have to navigate through an additional link. This feature should make the results page more useful to the fleet.

A new announcement feature has been added to the Cal 25 Detroit web page. The commodore will be able to post news and announcements about upcoming events, race schedules, etc. with minimal effort. This will be a great way to distribute information that affects the entire class! Make sure you come back to this page often, because there will be many announcements as the season gets underway. -Kurt
