Cal 25 "Algedi" is For
Sale
"Algedi" was built in 1972, bears sail
number 1377, is trimmed in blue, and is berthed at the Beaver Lake Sailing Club,
Beaver Lake, Arkansas. She has been raced successfully for many years by her
all-women crew (except me). North dacron working jib, North mylar laminate
genoa, and North dacron mainsail are race-ready as is the Baxter & Cicero
0.75 oz. spinnaker. An older working jib, genoa and spinnaker still are good for
practice. New bottom paint (red Petit Trinidad) was applied 10/2007. The 9.5 hp
long-shaft Evinrude has been serviced this winter. "Algedi" always has been
sailed in fresh water, is structurally sound, and is clean both inside and out.
The original set of blue vinyl/foam bunk cushions are in good shape, having
spent most of their lives in storage. I am asking $4000. A generic steel cradle
which fits "Algedi" is available for $600. For a complete inventory, contact
James E. Dunn, 25 South Holland Drive, Farmington, AR 72730, phone/fax (479)
267-2263, or jdunn@pgtc.com.
